Part 1 of the film takes place on an island where Devara and his people make a living through smuggling. However, Devara’s life takes a turn when he decides to stop his people from their criminal ways and becomes the protector of the sea.
While the storyline isn’t all that unique or thrilling, it still manages to keep you engaged without being boring. There’s a sense of anticipation for something big to happen, but unfortunately, the movie doesn’t deliver a shocking twist. The suspense is pretty easy to figure out, except for the final scene, which feels more like a teaser for the next part rather than a true cliffhanger. However, the fictional world itself is beautifully crafted, with amazing work by the art department and cinematographer, making it visually stunning and realistic.
